Thinking of putting my dog in obedience class?

So I have a 1 year old american bulldog that I have considered putting in obedience class. The reason for this is because he is always barking, digging holes, tugging on leashes on walks,ect. But I also want to put him in there to meet new dogs and learn what they have to offer. Heres the problem. My mum wont do it because she has a 15 month old baby that she doesnt want to drag out early in the morning and late and night but I havnt asked my dad yet. How can I convince my dad to do the classes with me even though they are around the times 9:30am in the morning or 7:00 in the evening? thanks.
