A question about atheism?

Is atheism the lack of belief in ANY possible form imaginable of god or a higher power, or just the lack of belief in any gods created by religion due to the total lack of evidence? If it is the ladder, I'd definitely be atheist, but if it is the former I'd say I'm agnostic atheist.
