How do I remove a really stuck ring off of my finger?

Oh boy. Do not sleep on it, it will get worse. Happened to me when I was twelve years old. My father snipped away with wire clipper while my mother twisted and pulled on my finger with ice. The trick is to ice and grease on the finger while you pull. That failing, rush to the e.r. d..mn the ring.!
